I recently learned of this incredible organization located here in Northwest Arkansas that was created by an inspirational family in order to turn a tragic loss, and heartbreak that is unimaginable, into an outreach for support and awareness to help orphans throughout the world.
The "Why" for Titus Task is a cause that is very close to my heart: (the below bullets are from thetitustask.com)
- Over 143 million children in the world have lost one or both parents.
- Every 18 seconds another child becomes an orphan, without a mother or a father.
- Every 14 seconds a child loses a parent due to aids.
- Orphans are found in every corner of our world.
- At any given time there are over 500,000 children in the US Foster Care system.
- Statistics show an alarmingly high rate of orphaned children working on streets and in domestic service.
- Each year, more than 2 million children are exploited in the global Commercial sex trade.
- There is a movement in the Church and in our communities across the US to care for the orphan.
- In NW Arkansas, we enjoy a community of compassionate, accepting, and generous people. We can make a difference for orphans in our world and we will see the difference in our homes, in our schools, and in our community.

If you live in the Northwest Arkansas community and will be in town on the 10th of October, I encourage you to participate in the 1st Annual Titus Task 5k and 1 mile walk/run event in Siloam Springs. What a wonderful way to honor Titus' short life here on earth and to make a difference in the life of a child and local NWA families.
